Prior to becoming President and CEO of Georgia Power in 1999, Mr. Ratcliffe served as Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ratcliffe previously served as a member of the board of directors of CSX Corporation, a publicly-traded railroad company. Qualifications and Skills: Mr. Ratcliffe brings his valuable experience as a director and chief executive officer of a highly-regulated, publicly-traded company to our Board of Directors. He is also a past Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Ratcliffe also previously served or serves as a member of the board of directors of the Georgia Research Alliance, the Center for Civil and Human Rights, the Center for Disease Control Foundation, as well as a number of other community and charitable boards.
